Emotional Intelligence Summit Asia: Emotions greatly affect your decisions, behaviors, and performance either in a positive or a negative way. More often than not, when you’re feeling happy, joyful, or accomplished, you behave positively and perform better. But, when something bad happens, it also affects your behavior. That’s why it’s important to learn about Emotional Intelligence.

After a two-day intensive Genos Emotional Intelligence Certification program held September 19 to 20, 2018, the first-ever Emotional Intelligence Summit Asia in the Philippines was held on September 21, 2018! Here are some of the highlights of the most wholehearted event of 2018.

From our partner Genos International, we had Dr. Ben Palmer, CEO, and Founder of Genos International, one of the top companies providing Emotional Intelligence assessments; and Mr. Deiric McCann, Head of International Development of Genos International and an acclaimed international author and speaker.

Mr. Mondo Castro, a Gallup Strengths coach and a top-notch training and management consultant; Ms. Ruby Mañalac, Director of Marketing and Partnerships of People Dynamics and a sought-after Emotional Intelligence speaker; Ms. Regina Garganera, a consultant and certified Genos Emotional Intelligence Practitioner; Mr. Eric Caeg, owner of Retail Academy Philippines; and, as part of the EI experts panel, Dr. Vida Caparas, a seasoned trainer and licensed Psychologist, were also present during the event to share more about the topics, especially in the Philippine setting.

The facilitators shared their vast and valuable knowledge and insights during the event. During the panel discussion, the engaged audience was eager to ask the experts more about Emotional Intelligence. And, people wanting to know about the more specific applications of EI also filled out the breakout rooms.

Relevant Topics

With today’s advent of change is fast, swift, and engulfing every aspect of your life, one thing will remain constant—the need to elevate your soft skills in relation to how you do things. Especially now that technology develops constantly.

The topics during the Emotional Intelligence Summit Asia were really relevant to our situation today. These started from the basics (Introduction to Emotional Intelligence), letting the participants experience EI (The Emotional Intelligence Experience), and to one of the most popular issues (EI in the Age of AI). In the afternoon, the session continued divided into four topics. These topics were The Resilient Leader, Mindfulness, Woman For All Seasons, and the Emotionally Intelligent Entrepreneur and Why Customer Service is the Enabling Competency in Excellent Customer Service.

“They may forget what you said — but they will never forget how you made them feel.” This quote is from Carl W. Buehner. When you forget the specific details of a situation, the emotions remain. We hope this event left a lasting impact on the audience!
