SUMMARY:Psychological Test Development
DESCRIPTION:This workshop focuses on the application of knowledge pertaining to the basics of psychological test development. Specifically\, an overview of testing\, its ethics\, and the five phases of test development will be tackled through interactive lecture and hands-on experience. She is now working on her PhD in social psychology. \nHer career experience is a mix of academe and industry practice: \nAfter graduating cum laude from the University of the Philippines–Cebu\, Donnavel\, who took up psychology\, worked as a talent development officer at an HR consulting firm in the city. \nThere\, she handled various training programs and organizational-development projects\, honing her skills in training-outline creation\, training implementation\, and organizational assessment. \nShe went on to become the training officer of one of the city’s renowned non-government organizations. \nAs a training officer\, she was responsible for setting up the organization’s training unit and overseeing the full training cycle\, from planning to implementation and evaluation. \nShe was also responsible for creating the organization’s competency-based training\, performance-management system\, and succession planning. \nLooking for opportunities outside the HR industry\, she took a teaching job in one of Cebu’s prestigious colleges. \nDonnavel has been teaching major subjects in psychology—such as psychological testing and assessment\, social psychology\, and experimental psychology—for the past nine years. \nShe has also been advising research projects and writing research articles for the college department’s journal. \nWhile teaching\, Donnavel ranked third in the 2015 psychometrician board examination nationwide. In the same year\, she became the college’s guidance personnel. \nDonnavel served as the psychology program head for the school year 2020–2021. \nAside from her academic career\, she works as an associate consultant and facilitator at People Dynamics Inc. \nIn this role of Donnavel\, she helps develop training modules and leadership assessment tools\, among others. \nShe also manages several consulting and research projects for the clients of the said organization. \n \nAvon Pearl S. Amores\, MP\, RPsy\, CSCOP\, CSIOP\,  is a licensed psychologist with a Masters and PhD in Psychology. She currently works as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist at Profiles Asia Pacific\, where she utilizes her expertise in developing and constructing psychological tests\, conducting behavioral interviews\, and creating intervention programs. \nShe also has knowledge of Industrial Psychology\, where she is well-versed in different facets of organizational psychology and other human resources-related aspects of the organization. \nAvon brings a wealth of experience from various roles\, including providing psychological services at MindHealth Psychological Services Clinic\, managing mental health programs for the Philippine National Police\, and serving as a psychologist at the National Center for Mental Health.  She has also held training positions in the Teleperformance Recruitment Department at Collabera and Nezda Philippines\, and has extensive experience teaching psychology at the university level. \nHer extensive background in recruitment and her passion for teaching further demonstrate her well-roundedness in the field of psychology. \n  \n \nDr. Mariel Kristine Rubia\, PhD\, RPsy\, is a licensed psychologist with 14 years of clinical experience using different treatment modalities such as solutions-focused therapy\, rational emotive behavior therapy\, hypnosis and hypnotherapy\, and eclectic therapy.  For organizational needs\, Dr. Rubia calls on her expertise in test development and practical application of psychological principles to develop\, validate\, and standardize industry tests. In recent years\, she has worked for an HMO provider catering mostly to BPO clients\, delivering much-needed mental health services to employees. Her leadership\, work ethic\, reliability\, and knowledge have contributed to her team’s successful programs. \nFor private practice\, Dr. Rubia serves as a clinical psychologist at the ME Rubia Psychological Assessment Center and is a practicing Forensic Psychologist with a specialization in annulment and violence against women and children cases. Dr. Rubia completed her Master of Arts major in Industrial Psychology (cum laude) and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (magna cum laude) at the University of Santo Tomas. Her research on the “Development of a Crime-Related Shame and Guilt Scale for Prisoners in the Philippine Context” was published in the Journal of Forensic Psychology. \nShe regularly participates in seminar workshops and conferences on testing and scale development abroad\, with her latest as an online poster presenter at the International Congress of Psychology Convention in the Czech Republic. SUMMARY:Leadership Boot Camp: A Training Series for Public Servants

SUMMARY:Technical Writing Boot Camp
DESCRIPTION:Communicating technical information to a nontechnical audience can be challenging. \nOftentimes\, technical people are so passionate and close to their subjects that they lose sight of who will read what they have written and what their level of knowledge is. \nThis boot camp aims to bridge this communication gap. \nThe boot camp consists of four four-hour sessions\, two per week\, over a period of two weeks. Belleza began his career as a news correspondent at the Manila Bulletin\, covering any news of local relevance and\, often\, national significance across all beats. \nHe is the first student news correspondent of the Philippines’ leading national newspaper. \nHe is a copy editor trained in the Chicago Manual of Style\, an authoritative resource used widely in the publishing industry. \nHe is also proficient in the Associated Press style\, the style used in the journalism industry. \nKier is a certified DISC practitioner\, which means he is trained to administer in-depth analysis and assessments of behavior and motivation and train others on how to use the DISC framework. \nToday\, he works as the communications officer of Profiles Asia Pacific Inc.\, the pioneer and leader in online psychometric assessments in the Philippines. \nHe also works as a training facilitator at People Dynamics Inc.\, where he develops and delivers training programs on professional and personal development. \nKier graduated cum laude with a diploma in bachelor of arts in communication from Cebu Normal University. \nCancellation Policy \nCancellations may be made one (1) week before the online certification program.
