SUMMARY:Stress\, Time\, and Conflict Management
DESCRIPTION:With the rapid advancements in technology\, job requirements will constantly evolve. Automation\, digital transformation\, Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications\, smart technologies\, Internet of Things (IoT)\, among many others\, shall soon change the way organizations operate and eventually disrupt the way we work. \nWith these changing requirements\, we need to develop our resilience and agility. Flexibility and readiness to embrace change and cope with challenges depend on one’s competence in stress\, time\, and conflict management. These are competencies essential for enhancing one’s professional and personal relationships. The ability to maintain one’s professionalism despite challenges and disruptions enables one to project maturity and demonstrate self-leadership. She is now working on her PhD in social psychology. \nHer career experience is a mix of academe and industry practice: \nAfter graduating cum laude from the University of the Philippines–Cebu\, Donnavel\, who took up psychology\, worked as a talent development officer at an HR consulting firm in the city. \nThere\, she handled various training programs and organizational-development projects\, honing her skills in training-outline creation\, training implementation\, and organizational assessment. \nShe went on to become the training officer of one of the city’s renowned nongovernment organizations. \nAs a training officer\, she was responsible for setting up the organization’s training unit and overseeing the full training cycle\, from planning to implementation and evaluation. \nShe was also responsible for creating the organization’s competency-based training\, performance-management system\, and succession planning. \nLooking for opportunities outside the HR industry\, she took a teaching job in one of Cebu’s prestigious colleges. \nDonnavel has been teaching major subjects in psychology—such as psychological testing and assessment\, social psychology\, and experimental psychology—for the past nine years. \nShe has also been advising research projects and writing research articles for the college department’s journal. \nWhile teaching\, Donnavel ranked third in the 2015 psychometrician board examination nationwide. In the same year\, she became the college’s guidance personnel. \nDonnavel served as the psychology program head for school year 2020–2021. \nAside from her academic career\, she works as an associate consultant and facilitator at People Dynamics Inc. \nIn this role of Donnavel\, she helps develop training modules and leadership assessment tools\, among others. \nShe also manages several consulting and research projects for the clients of the said organization. \nAbegail Pulma-Tongco has been in the human resources (HR) and organization development (OD) practice for more than 15 years. \nAs an HR and OD consultant and trainer\, she has been exposed to companies of various sizes and industries: banking and finance\, BPO\, KPO\, energy\, water utility\, academe\, food and beverage\, manufacturing\, construction and engineering\, website and software development\, architectural and engineering consulting\, real estate development\, mining\, hospitality\, printing\, and publishing. \nShe has implemented numerous consulting projects for government-owned and controlled corporations and local government units. \nShe is the training and consulting division director and concurrently the VisMin regional director of the Profiles Group of Companies. \nShe is a certified team and shared leadership coach (level 2) by the International Coaching Federation. \nShe graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of the Philippines–Tacloban College. \nShe earned her master’s degree in business management from the same university. She is now working on her PhD in organization development. \nRuby Mañalac is currently the COO of Emovation\, Inc.\, the business unit of emotional intelligence and a proud affiliate of The Profiles Group of Companies. Her passion and purpose are to spread emotional intelligence with innovation as she advocates healing a currently hurting world while bringing out the best performance of people. \nShe is one of the pioneers of The Profiles Group of Companies during its inception in 1999 and has been with the organization for over a decade. She has served in different capacities and has risen to her current role. \nRuby\, a dedicated practitioner of Emotional Intelligence\, was interviewed on ANC and CNN regarding this subject matter. \nRuby has attended EI certificate courses twice in Sydney\, Australia\, and was one of the international speakers at the Genos Singapore International Conference last 2018 for best practices of EI. She was also part of the delegation that attended the Genos Hawaii\, USA International Conference in 2019. She has had over a hundred talks and seminars about emotional intelligence with raving praises about her performance and expertise. \nShe espouses that her significant learnings on emotional intelligence are through practice and life\, saying\, “It is best to start taking the first step and progressing.” \nAccreditations \nPeople Dynamics is an accredited Learning and Development Institution by Profiles International\, LLC.\, Wiley\, Genos International\, Civil Service Commission\, and the Professional Regulation Commission.
