Business Continuity Planning: Toward a Crisis-Proof Business Model

In the year 2017, when someone asked you: “How do you see yourself three years from now?”, were you able to foresee yourself working from home? Did you see yourself managing virtual teams? Did you envision yourself encouraging employees to avail of vacation leaves? Were you able to picture yourself negotiating with suppliers, lessors, and financers for rebates and deferment of dues?

Most likely, not.

This year, just as we were preparing ourselves to gear up for Industry 4.0, a bigger global disruptor interrupted business as usual. One thing is certain and that’s the fact that the capability of an organization to take a proactive response to change translates to a crisis-proof business model.

In this online course, we will make the most of what we learned from the COVID-19 Crisis. Experience truly is the best teacher. In fact, experience is the most expensive teacher. For whatever this crisis has cost us, our most effective coping style is to process these experiences as a means to prepare for any disruptor which lies ahead. In this context, this online learning program aims to provide a comprehensive framework of Business Sustainability. This program is beneficial for HR managers, management professionals, and entrepreneurs who intend to obtain a broad perspective of the business impact of various sources of disruption.

This online course will be conducted via Zoom.

This program aims to cover critical dimensions in sustaining operations. Through workshops, participants will be guided through the process of walking through the business model and identifying possible threats in each critical business activity.

Participants will undergo a pre-training assessment on competencies required in proactive planning. The pre-training assessment enables the participant to obtain an objective view of his/her personal areas for development. Trainees will then attend an interactive online course. After attending the online workshop, a Certificate of Attendance will be given to all attendees. A post-training assessment will be given which would require participants to apply learning obtained from the course to his/her own organizational context. The trainee would then present his/her output in a one-on-one coaching and debriefing session. A Certificate of Completion is then issued to the trainee.
