In this era where everything is almost digital, we’re struggling to keep up. It’s rare to see someone without their mobile phones with them or someone who is not connected to the internet. It’s sad to see that even with all these advancements in our technology, which is supposedly helping the world be more connected, we’ve grown more and more distant with those who are closest to us.

And, amid disruptive innovation, the influx of automation, and the height of the digital era,  what may be the missing link to take your organization to greater heights is emotional intelligence. That’s why, we held a learning event last March 23, 2017, at D’ Cup Coffee Republic entitled “Humanizing in the Digital Era”.

To make the event more comfortable for our participants, instead of the usual meeting rooms or conference halls, we held the event at a cozy venue in Mandaluyong, the D’ Cup Coffee Republic.

We had four speakers, knowledgeable in emotional intelligence, as well as Certified GENOS practitioners: Ms. Ruby Mañalac, Director: Distributor Networks of Profiles Asia Pacific; Ms. Mae Dael-Medina, a registered psychologist and is an Organizational Development Assistant Manager of American Data Exchange; Dr. Raul Rodriguez, a lecturer at Ateneo Grad School and Enderun and an IT Management Consultant; and, Ms. Cally Tiosejo, a finance management consultant and trainer.

The learning session lasted for only three hours (from 2 PM to 5 PM), but the knowledge and the joy that the speakers imparted were truly valuable.

We were truly grateful for the overwhelming feedback that we received, and we were even asked for a rerun!

This event and the participants proved what the author of the Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, said, “There is no hope of joy except in human relations.”

Till our next event!
